Toddler
Screen Time and Brain Development
The research suggests that too much screen time—especially before age 2-- can slow down your toddler's language, learning, and social skills. Hands-on play with blocks, books, and you (talking and playing together) builds their brain much more than tablets or TV. You don't need to be perfect, and you don't need to eliminate screens completely. The goal is balance. Ask your pediatrician at checkups about healthy screen limits for your child's age—they can help you make a plan that actually fits your real life and feels manageable for your family. Focus on what your child gains from hands-on play and conversation with you, and worry less about being perfect about the rules.
