medicine cabinet = primp station

Q: I’m sick of my beauty product routine in the morning. What are some of your favorite daily products for hair and skin?

A: It’s not often I get beauty Q’s, but I do fancy myself a cosmetic junkie, always trying new products, so I think I can help you with this one! Let’s take a look in my medicine cabinet…turned primp station.

For Skin: FACE-I have combination skin, oily in the summer and dry in the winter, so I use  a gentle cleanser such as Neutrogena Naturals, Dickinson’s Witch Hazel as a toner, then Cetaphil moisturizer, in addition to Origins eye cream. I use a tinted moisturizer as my makeup base, so I don’t need a heavy cream moisturizer. BODY- I love L’Occitane Shea Butter Body Lotion followed by Victoria’s Secret Rockin’ Body Cream for a luminous “5 x sexier” glow.

For Hair: Moroccan Oil Light has become a staple for my overly-processed hair. Between color and heat, my dry hair sucks up this oil and it really enhances shine. When I’m going for bed-head-chic, which is most days lately, I use Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray and always finish with Moroccan Oil Hairspray. On days I wake up late or want to give my hair an extra day to breathe before washing again, I use John Frieda Volume Refresher Dry Shampoo in the roots to give my dirty hair a boost.

Other Daily Favorites Spotted Below: The tiny brown glass tube on top right is lavender oil. I put a dab on my neck behind each ear when I’m feeling especially stressed or need help relaxing. Dove’s energizing deodorant is my favorite for the zesty lemon scent and long-wear power. Sally Hansen cuticle oil helps my nails not to look like a 7 year old boy’s, and I take Biotin daily for shiny skin, nails and hair. Ibuprofen for occasional aches and pains. Hope this helps!
