Q: My stomach is my problem area. No matter how much I work out and eat right, I can’t seem to loose the “pooch”. How can I dress to distract from my stomach?
A: We all have our problem areas, that’s for sure. If you want to avoid highlighting your stomach, avoid fitted tops. Choose tops that are more fitted in the bra area, but less fitted in the stomach. If you’re petite, you’ll need to wear a bit of a heel to avoid looking stumpy since you’ll be wearing a more flowy top. You can also wear crop jackets or belts over tops or dresses to accent your natural waist (the area right under your rib cage and right above your stomach) which will distract from your stomach. And remember, a giant scarf never fails to disguise “fat days”.
