Q: What are your thoughts on the tradition of NO WHITE between Labor Day and Easter?
A: Several years ago, I heard that Vogue declared that white can now be worn year-round. Umm…Thanks, Vogue. I treat the “No White after Labor Day” thing with a grain of salt. It’s totally a personal preference. However, I think crisp white pants or jeans, white blazers and bags look GREAT during the winter months when styled appropriately. White shoes, however, I would reserve for warmer months. For me, it’s not so much following a rule as it is following the seasons and what feels right.
White and gray make a great combination!
