Obviously, you will be able to use tunics or slouchy tops you already have with your maternity jeans until you fit into your old jeans. You may even have to run to Target or Old Navy and buy a cheap pair of non-maternity jeans a size or two larger than your pre-baby size just to get you through the next few months until you’re back in your old size. But, the idea is to begin to purchase things closer to your old size – meaning, buy things a bit snug. If you’re a bit uncomfortable in your clothes, you will notice the added pounds more and work harder to get them off. A wrap dress is also a great investment. You can literally adjust to fit and it will always be flattering. Buy a darker color to mask your problem areas. Also, while you’re working on your body, play up your glow. You’re a new mommy! Wear fun earrings, try new hair accessories and fun make-up tricks. Bring as much attention as possible to your proud, smiling face.
